There are just some words that make me shudder when I hear them (girth) or see them (echinacea). It's pretty arbitrary, but I consistently dislike certain sounds.

Treacle for sure! It's already on *my* Yuck list. Although I must admit, alguien, that a couple of the words on this list are on my favorites. Interesting that what appeals to some people is awful to others. :-)
