I've been searching for others that have fun with words and Wordie looks like a great place. Your interest in words is very similar to mine. I especially focus on how word combos can trigger thought or give the mind a puzzlement to find meaning. It's amazing how only two words can do that. No, calimaufry isn't gallimaufry, it's a word I made up as a kid to describe this particular feeling of giving up on being bothered and feeling very good about it... kind of. That mixed with the feeling of an end-of-summer sunset where the air seems to change colors, too. Clorblsnrtzkn's definition is secret; the word, being, obviously, a play on Rumpelstiltskin. I think the way it rolls (or, rather, grinds) off the tongue is infinitely more satisfying, though.
The only guinea pig I've seen so far was on the end of my fork. I'll keep my eye out for your wild herd, cb, but I'm in Lima now, my Andean sojourn over, so I think the chances are slim.
