If a 'word' has comments, or was ever listed by someone - even though currently listed by no-one - it remains in the database. These are what we call ghosts.
Don't fret, mia. Even if the word was listed nowhere, it would stay in Wordie with its comments. And when you have a twice-listed word, deleting one removes it entirely, so it probably was duplicated.
I accidentally deleted this word from my list (it seemed that it was listed twice, but that wasn't the case). If Whichbe hadn't listed it, too, this great thread would have been lost completely.
The Who's? Nowherigans? Of Where~Vile? This place likely has something to do with the vanished belongings/appearing random stuff that pops into our basement and hereabouts. I suspects. Reminded of the backyardigans.
Oh, that's a wonderful concept! *adds list*
Never fear, the kind-hearted yarb takes them to his Adoption Agency.
They are Wordie orphans, Bilby. What a fate, to be abandoned by some cold-hearted Wordie.

Oh, thanks for the explanation, Yarb! I didn't know that. And it was nice of you to reassure me I wasn't hallucinating, after all :)

sounds like where i live......
Nowesville - An entire town of people who can't stand Wesley Snipes.
He's a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
-The Beatles
Nowearsville - a town renowned for its nudist camps?
Nowhearsville - a town of halfway-houses for the newly-cured deaf?
Where does all this leave nowheresvilleman?
Oh. No. We're There, aren't we?
There used to be (? still is) a computer manufacturer called Nixdorf.

Nowhergian.
Nowaresville sounds quite appropriate :) What would a villager in Nowheresville be called? I mean, is there a short way to call one?
It even has its own broken down shopping mall, Nowaresville.
I imagine nowheresville as a kind of black hole which first swallow people up, then spit them out. Weird, I know.
It's where all the weary folks who wish to hide for a while go to? A kind of time-out? You tell me.
... assuming of course you mean 'no wheres ville' and not 'now heres ville' because the latter is
.... halfway up the stairs
.... it isn't really anywhere,
it's somewhere else instead
Where's this?
